East Coast Summer Escape

When the south and west coasts are windy (roughly May to September), the east coast is at its best. Combine Sigiriya with Trincomalee's beaches, snorkelling at Pigeon Island and a few days in laid-back Arugam Bay.

Climb the rock early, then continue to the east coast.

Down the east coast
A long coastal drive south to Arugam Bay.

Surf, lagoon safari or simply the beach.

Another free day on the coast.

Departure
Drive back via Ella or Kandy to the airport.
